GAME OVER is not an eternal end, but an opportunity for a new beginning. The stage production DE_CODING GAME OVER, which moves between dance and sound performance, is inspired by video gaming in terms of content, philosophy and aesthetics. The performance is aimed at a young audience (12+) and ties in with fast-moving parallel worlds. The desire to immerse oneself in new and different worlds is also inherent in dance and theatre. The artistic team invites you to join them on an intermedial journey: Sound sensors transfer movements into sound and motion capturing transfers movements into 3D animations. Questions about reality, proximity and our own body image are raised: In which worlds do we stay, where do we dive, how do we move there and what challenges do we face? To what extent do avatars change our self-image? While live performers act as avatars, physical and virtual worlds collide.
